M38 Armored Car

USA's M38

Chevrolet developed an armored car that would have excellent cross country capabilities. It was also intended to replace the M8.

Was standardized in March 1945.

Built by Chevrolet Division of the General Motors Corporation.

A 6 wheeled with evenly spaced axles gave this armored car excellent ability in soft ground and getting over obstacles. The two forward axles pivoted for turning so as to not wear the tires unevenly.
