The Germans produced around 7,000 of the different SdKfz 250 half tracks and variants during World War II. Their many variants ran the gambit from simple soldier carriers, munition carriers, all the way up to mounting a 75 mm gun.

The Germans had a huge variety of half track vehicles. A series of these were used for towing weapons or mounting guns on to make a quick and easy self propelled gun. One of these was the SdKfz 10 1 ton half track that had nearly 17,000 produced during World War II.

The SdKfz 2 kleines Kettenrad was a very popular hybrid motorcycle / half track that was used by the Germans in World War II.

When the Germans took over Czechoslovakia they took over their armored weapons and the factories that produced them. Two of the early war medium tanks that were used extensively in the German Panzer Divisions were the PzKpfw 35(t) and the PzKpfw 38(t).

The Germans took over a large amount of French armored vehicles after the invasion in 1940. Some of these were simply used in secondary theaters, while others were modified into self propelled guns. The H-39 was renamed the GW 39H(f) and had 75 mm and 105 mm guns installed into the chassis with an armored body built up around them. - Aircraft Production corrections

The German's used captured equipment as much as possible. The AMR35(f) was one of the conversions done with captured French chassis. This one had a 8 cm mortar installed. - Should I use a German Cross or a Nazi flag to represent the German weapons?

The Wirbelwind was a very deadly Flakpanzer. With four 20 mm guns it could put a huge amount of metal against air and ground targets.

The very first post was July 11, 2008! Being a stat nut, that was 597 days ago, so that makes an average of 1.51926298 posts per day! Granted they posts were typically very brief, but still quite a few being put out there!

One hundred of the Ostwinds were ordered to be built but only 43 were completed.

Around 240 of the Möbelwagen were built by the end of the war. The anti-aircraft gun was quite deadly but the crew was left exposed when the sides of the turret were put down for firing. - Germany's leichte Flakpanzer 38(t), SdKfz 140, updated

Since the Allies had control of the air the Germans tried to quickly develop vehicles that could protect their troops on the ground. One such vehicle was the leichte Flakpanzer 38(t) which used the PzKpfw 38(t) chassis. - Geramny's leichte Flakpanzer IV (3cm) Kugelblitz updated

Fortunately for the Allied airmen the Germans weren't able to produce the Kugelblitz ("ball lightning") to defend against the "Jabos."
