Germany's PzKpfw I Panzerjaeger

Had shield in front and rear was open. Used PzKpfw I Ausf B chassis and Czechoslovakian gun.

The AP round weighed 3.7 lbs and the muzzle velocity was 2,540'/sec.6 The HE round had a range of 5,687 yards.6

First saw service in France, and then in North Africa7 and Russia7. They were deployed to anti-tank battalions of infantry divisions.5

After newer vehicles replaced them on the front lines many were sent to Balkans.

There were 132 still in units in July 1941.
