Developed by Hansa-Lloyd and Goliath. Production was taken over by Hanomag of Hanover.
Primary use was to be an artillery tractor that would tow one of the following:
- 105 mm leFH 18 field howitzer
- 75 mm Pak 40 anti-tank gun
- 37 mm Flak 36 and 37
- Nebelwerfer
Towards end of war they ended up towing larger guns than designed to do. The 88 mm Pak 43 and Pak 43/41.

Had smoke generating equipment installed.
