It was a taper-bore gun went from 40.3 mm to 29.4 mm.1 It was based on the Gerlich principle.1 The rounds would have special flanges that would fold back as the shell went down the barrel.1 This would increase the shells velocity out the end of the barrel.1
Was mounted on the 3.7-cm Pak 35/36 carriage.1
