Main Armament
The Ju 88P had several different types of anti tank weapons mounted in a housing that was under the fuselage.1
Variants
- Ju 88P-0: Pre production.1
- Ju 88P-1: Mounted 75 mm in a ventral fairing.1
- Ju 88P-2: Mounted two 37 mm cannons in a ventral fairing.1
- Ju 88P-3: Mounted two 37 mm cannons in a ventral fairing.1 Converted from a Ju 88A-4 with increased armor protection.1
- Ju 88P-4: Mounted 50 mm in ventral fairing.1
Usage
The Ju 88Ps were used by Germany.1
Small numbers were constructed and were mostly used on the Eastern Front.1 The proved to be vulnerable in the day time.1 From 1944 on the Ju 88Ps were used at night.1
