Captured by the Germans

Was to have heavier armor and more horse power. Prototypes appeared in 1932 and deliveries began in 1934. Two prototypes had diesel engines. Production vehicles had gasoline.

In 1936 the order was reduced to 50 vehicles as the Somua S-35 became the preferred vehicle.

Part of hull front had almost vertical front plate.3 Had a cast APX 1 turret, which was the same as on the Char B1.3 Storage areas were built over the tracks.3 Below the track rollers were mud chutes.3 It had a higher back deck than the D1.

Had 5 forward and 1 reverse and multi-plate clutch. The rear-sprocket provided the power. Steering was done by a Cleveland differential.
