Most were used by cavalry regiments in France, but some were sent to Algeria.
Unic Kégresse P 107:
Was originally designed and produced by Citröen and Kégresse later improved it with rubber-based tracks. It first appeared in the late 1930s. It was produced in artillery tractor and engineering types.
The tractor towed light field pieces and anti-tank guns. It had a soft top cover, space for 5-7 crew, and stowage for ammo in lockers at the rear.
The engineer version had an open cargo body and towed trailers carrying combat engineer equipment such as bridging pontoons.

Some were stripped of their superstructures and fitted with armored hulls that were almost like the SdKfz 250 series. Installed the FuG Spr d radio.1
Issued to armored units in France.

The captured Somua MCG and Somua MCL.1 16 were converted in 1944 to carry 75 mm PaK40 L/46 and a 7.92 mm MG34 or MG42.1 Others had 16 French 81 mm mortars installed in 2 rows in the rear.1 Had a FuG Spr d radio installed.1
