Design

4 wheel drive, dual steering (for reverse driving).5 Command version had gun removed and added larger radios.

The 25 mm gun fired a 0.7 lb AP shell at a muzzle velocity of 2,953'/sec.5

Production

Usage

The three Division Legere Mecanique had 40 of the Panhard 178s.6 There were twelve Panhard 178s in each of the seven GRDIs.6
