The TBD Devastator a design that was used past it's prime. But with nothing else available the fliers still flew them to battle the enemy.
I've added an additional photo for it.

In the years leading up to World War II the British started their rearmament programs later than some countries. As a result some of the out dated aircraft of the early 1930s were still being used by the military. One such aircraft was the Vickers Vildebeest and the Vickers Vincent.
I've now added a page for them.

The Nakajima B6N Tenzan was to be a replacement for the B5N. It had a much stronger engine which initially caused it much difficulty.

The Nakajima B5N was instrumental in Japan's early successes. I've updated my page with additional historical and specification information.

The Grumman TBF/TBM Avenger was seen in nearly every naval battle starting with the Battle of Midway.
I've now updated its page with additional specification and production information.

The Douglas TBD Devastator torpedo bomber was the first monoplane torpedo plane used by the United States Navy. It was obsolete when World War II started, but was still used during the first couple years.

Even before the B5N torpedo bomber was to prove itself in battle, the Nakajima B6N Tenzen was designed. It had initial difficulties in the development and prototype stages but eventually made it to production. It was primarily used in the last 18 months of the war.
I've added a new page for the B6N in my web site.

Probably the Japanese plane that was feared the most by American ships was the Nakajima B5N torpedo bomber. During the attack on Pearl Harbor and in many of the following naval battle in the Pacific the B5N was very affective at sinking ships.
I've added a new page to my site for it.

I've always been fascinated by the Italian three engined planes that they used during the war. For me, a total non-designer, I have to ask, why not just have 4 engines instead of 3? But then again, what do I know about aeronautics!
I've added a page for one of those 3 engined planes used in World War II by the Italians, the Cant Z.1007 Alcione.

I've added a page for the United Kingdom's Bristol Beaufort torpedo-bomber which I've haven't read a lot about.
