The Waco CG-4A glider was used in the main airborne operations conducted by the Allies during World War II.

Germany's Messerschmitt Me 321 transport glider added

The Germans developed the largest glider used in World War II for cargo, it was the Me 321. I've added a new page for it.

United Kingdom's General Aircraft Hamilcar glider added

The General Aircraft Hamilcar was used in a few airborne operations bringing in heavy equipment.

Germany's Deutsches Forschungsinstitut für Segelflugzeug (DFS) 230 assault glider added

Taking part in some of the most audacious operations in World War II was the DFS 230 assault glider. It took part in the capture of Fort Eben Amael and the rescue of Mussolini.

United Kingdom's Airspeed Horsa glider added

The United Kingdom saw how successful the German's used airborne assault troops in the invasion of the low countries that they decided they need a glider of their own to be able to use for airborne assaults. The Airspeed Horsa was selected. I've added a page for the glider in my site.
