Britain's Bedford Cockatrice added
To defend their airfields the British cam up with some interesting designs. One of these was basically an armored truck with a flame thrower in a small turret, the Bedford Cockatrice. It was used to guard Royal Navy airfields.
To me it just seems excessive to use a flame thrower as it's main armament, but I can only imagine they used the weapons that were available to them at the time. Unfortunately I have no photos.
